Homework

Seriously, can anyone tell me what this is? If I had to guess I would say Paul and Nancy had a shooting contest and Nancy won 64 - 48. You go girl! Actually this is the atomic structure of Cadmium. What is cadmium you might ask? I was hoping someone could tell me! How do we parents get roped into homework? While my child is at school getting her education, I am at home hopefully geting her an A. Do teachers not have a life outside of school? Do we REALLY need all of these projects?! I think not! Let's let kids be kids. Let's give them time to ride their bikes, play ball in the yard, clean the toilets, scrub the floors, lay around on the couch. Don't get me wrong, I am all for learning, but I am also for some down time. Especially when they have so much work to do that I have to help. Now this post is through because #1 I feel better since I got that off of my chest and #2...I have to finish my her project.

I don't miss those days at all. Especially the science stuff. Trying to pretend like I have a clue would always give me a headache. :)

Yeah I hear you on the homework thing. I despise it and it's not even mine.

Last night I kept reading and re-reading my 8th grader's science questions because I just didn't get it. Argh!

Welcome to the SITS group, it's so nice to have you!

When I'm not cussing out teachers for the projects we have to do at home, I actually enjoy learning what my kids are learning. They have some things now that I didn't have growing up...and I got a great education!

I'm with the SITS Welcome Wagon! I've been visiting SITS since last summer. I've read so many fun blogs and met so many amazing women. It's really a great community to share. Welcome aboard!
